"Aware Beginnings" Life brings many endings and many beginnings. The year 2008 brought new beginnings and unexpected endings, making space in my life to finally pursue an ambition that has been around since I was a teenager. That has now been manifested in the completion of a novel, which tells the story of a baby named Hope, from her conception through her birth, as the child of teen parents who happen to be in foster care at the time of her conception. The format of a novel was chosen to reach a broader audience than perhaps a non-fiction trestise on the issue of teen pregnancies in the foster care system might be able to reach. The completion of the book marks an opening to new possibilities. I teach online for The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, in their prenatal and perinatal psychology specialty program, which keeps me up-to-date on developments in the field of birth psychology. A sequel to The Birth of Hope might be the next big venture. We will see how life unfolds.

Birth: The culmination of the journey that began as a single cell, activitated to build a complete body by the joining of sperm and ovum, and embedded with the template of your unique DNA, which interacts with the environment in the creation of "you." Birth is the transition from that first stage of life as an embodied being into the wider world outside the womb.

Energy: Birth brings with it breath and expansion of your possibilities as an embodied being. Attention to the flow of energy in your body is a key to your full experience of that life.

Dreams: Mindstuff and its many levels of experience began as dreams in the womb, long before you had words and thought. Nurturning your dreams and appreciating their wisdom brings awareness of other levels of experience to your mental life, and connection with timeless wisdom.

Sandplay: Mind Made Visible. Dreaming Awake. Creating scenes in a small sandtray opens windows to your soul. Spirit plays with the sand, water, and figures to create visible scenes depicting your growth at soul level.

Spirit: That which encompasses and nourishes all. You are both one with Spirit and an individual manifestation of Spirit. It is your deepest purpose to express and experience life to its fullest.
